About / How I Do This
So, what's the secret sauce that goes into creating thewysz.com? Well,
it's not that secret. Below is a listing of the tools I use to create
my site, just in case someone out there finds it useful:
Free services and software are in
bold
text.
Online Services & Software
Other Software
- Static pages such as this one are created with SeaMonkey or just TextEdit.
- If you know of a good WYSIWYG page editor that works on a Mac,
please let me know! I'm even willing to pay for it.
- When I need to make changes to the code on multiple pages, I use TextWrangler.
- Photo manipulation/touchups and other graphics are usually done
with Photoshop.
- Podcasts are created using Podcast Maker.
- Videos are edited with Final Cut Pro.
- Music is created with GarageBand and/or Soundtrack
Pro.
- SFTP transfers are handled using Cyberduck.
Hardware
- Most of my work is done on a MacBook Pro, but video and other
intense stuff is done on my Mac Pro.
- Video is currently shot with my Sony HC3 or just the MBP's
built-in
iSight.
- Fancy still photos are usually from a Rebel XT, and the point and
shoot variety come from a Canon SD1000 or even my iPhone. I'll
occasionally shoot a roll
of film on a
K1000.
